Martins: Business involves investment and also generate profit. Smith: Really? Martins: Yes! Smith Why don't you put your time, money, and even your brain into blogging? Martins: They do Smith: Then how are blogs unique from businesses? Martins: Hmmmmmmm! I've never thought of these questions before. I believed that only companies that have a tag are able to be called a business. Smith The definition of a business is anything that requires the investment of any kind, and which yields profits is considered to be a company Martins Martins am seeing! Thank you for your clarification. I'm going to start using my blog as a business starting from today. Are you still doubting? Do you still wonder whether your blog is actually one of your businesses? Did you start your blog for fun in the past moment? Did you build your blog because you just wanted to communicate your thoughts to the world? Many people start their blogs for one reason or other - to share their thoughts, update their personal album to promote business brands offer products, solve people's problems, provide tutorials or tutorials, etc. Everyone had a dream to begin with but each dream may be different from the other's. However, some of these dream ideas change as time goes by. There are new ideas that pop up and are then incorporated into dream. Those who started with the intention of sharing their thoughts, updating their pages as well as providing tutorials or solutions to issues start to understand why they need to consider an opportunity to earn money to continue maintaining their blogs or take care of other needs. What is it that makes blogging a business? The following characteristics can make blogging a business and if your blog has one of these characteristics, then you must consider it as what it is : business Earns Money: Businesses typically produce income from their owner. Income could come from selling products on your site (profits) as well as from advertising, membership fees, consultancy, etc. If your blog makes cash from one of these sources, your blog is considered to be a business. It's an investment: Business involves financial investments in order to get make profit or earn interest. Wikipedia defines investment in this manner it is the act of putting funds into an investment with the hope of dividends, capital appreciation, and/or interest earning In other words the blog you are creating is an investment because you are paying for web hosting, website design and development, templates, plug-ins and webmaster services, special scripts and more, in order to generate some money within the near or future. Alongside investing in money, you're also making a decision to invest your time in an extremely serious level. Do you agree with me? Employment generation by blogs is a dual aspect. The blogger is employed, and, secondly, bloggers are employed by people to write or maintain the blog to keep things going well on the site. To be able make a living, you must be either a government official or a businessperson. Retirement plan: A good business can help secure the future of the owner. The best businesses are assets for the owners to lean on during their pension years. Blogging provides security provided that it is managed properly and treated with the care it requires. Similarities between blogging and other businesses In the realm of business There are a handful of distinct kinds of businesses that immediately come to mind, and they are: 1. Sole proprietorship The type of business that is managed and owned by a single individual. Making decisions is made by the owner alone and the loss of the owner may result in the demise of the business. Many blogs are similar to the sole proprietorship model of business in that the blogger runs his blog in a solo fashion. He decides on his own, expands slowly and he's a jack of all trade. 2. The partnership business is two or more people joining together for business. While conventional companies operate as a partnership however, blogging could also be considered a partnership investment. An excellent example of a blogging in partnership is LeapZone Strategies where Isabelle Mercier Turcotte and Margarita Romano have been working together since 1996. Of course , they both invest their moneys and also share profits and losses together. Other types of business are also available however we're content with these two. They have at least been a help in establishing our similarities. Now that we have looked at the various kinds of companies, it brings us to the next point. There's only drive, determination, and more drive." -Sophie Kinsella, Shopaholic Takes Manhattan "To become successful, one must put themselves in the paths of giants!" - Lillian Cauldwell Once bloggers reach an aforementioned height, they feel they have been there and that there is no more need to improve or expand. The desire to add more flavour, new ideas and features is simply not there any more. 4. Neglecting your customers: Customers are the most valuable asset of any company and need to be treated with care and affection. Unfortunately, a lot of entrepreneurs don't know that their livelihood is secured by the trust of their customers. They simply treat their customers with a lack of respect. It is what the client or customer gets out of it." Peter Drucker My advice Our world is now a time of fierce competition, and only those willing to go that extra mile to do things that other people are not willing to do will succeed. As a blogger or businessman, in order to make it in your field it is essential to add the following to your resume: Invest in your business: Get rid of freebies as a way to run your business. The fact there are freebies but also paying versions for the same product is enough to convince you that freebies and paid services do not have the same value. While you'd need certain freebies, it is essential be prepared to invest a lot more to add some innovative features on your own business. Be focused: If pursue two rats at the time, you're going to end up getting none. Once you've decided to pursue a dream be sure to follow your goal until it reaches a reasonable conclusion. Do not get distracted in the path. Lack of focus and distraction are the biggest killers of dreams, so they must be eliminated at all cost. Be driven by ambition Do not enter any business because others are there. You must be driven and determination to succeed in the field you choose. If the desire is strong enough, enough energy will be released to achieve your goal. Treat your customers like gold: Yes, you heard me well! Your customers don't deserve anything less. They pay the bills and if they end your patronage, you're in the dust. One happy customer will bring 20 additional customers, while the one who is unhappy will take away another 100. Do you agree with me? Conclusion Blogging is a business and is treated as it is. Be careful not to treat it with humor as your future will dependent on the blog. If you want your blogging business to grow you have to be prepared to put money, time and your own brainpower into it. Freebies alone can never give you the best in your business. Remember that you don't pay the bills, but your customers do. Therefore, don't treat your customers poorly since they are the reason you're operating.
